Code of conduct

ESN Twente would like to inform you about a few 'rules' or guidelines, which will make it easier for both you and us to join and organise events.

Subscribe in person

Only registrations with the ESN Board members are valid. This means your name and contact details will be on our subscription list and you have paid the fee. ESN does invite you through Facebook events, however RSVPing at Facebook is never a valid subscription! ESN will always let you know the subscription details. You can find the list with participants and sign up yourself in the ESN Office or during the ESN Weekly Drink with the boardmembers.

Subscribe on time

Keep in mind, that ESN has to know how many people will join a particular event. Not in all cases, but in some cases we do need to make reservations and bookings. The sooner we know, the better we will be able to organise a great event. We have the right to refuse your sign up if you cannot show your ESNCard or due to limited capacity. ESN will also provide subscription deadlines. So please sign up as soon as you are sure you want to join!

First paid, first served

We are glad that you decided to join an event, but only those who have paid the full fee are guaranteed a spot. The costs of any activity are as given; arranging your own transportation does not stand for discount at all times. With the ESNCard you usually, but not in all cases, can get a discount on event fees.

No refunds

Please do not expect us to hold your money for you when you later decide you cannot participate anymore. Personally we would like to refund you, but we are simply bound by third parties we have to rely on; they often require us to pay an advance fee and/or cancellation costs.

Sometimes unforeseen things happen and prevent you from taking part in an activity for which you have subscribed. It is only possible to unsubscribe during the sign up period. After the deadline, we cannot guarantee to return you the costs of sign up. Any claim expires two months after the activity has taken place.

Voluntary basis

Keep in mind ESN Twente is run by mere students who choose to spend a large portion of their spare time organising events for you. They try their bests to prepare and organise these great events for you.
