Campus facilities

Apart from student houses and education buildings, the university campus also offers you:

• Acasa Office: Responsible for (student) housing on the campus and located at Campuslaan 99 on the campus. International students can/should apply for an on-campus accommodation via the International Office of the University of Twente (click here for more information).
• Health Services: The University of Twente offers general medical service on campus. These services are provided by a dentist, a physiotherapist and a doctor (general practitioner). Located at different campus buildings.
• Student Counselling Services: Support students who experience problems in managing expectations, feelings of loneliness, study delays and adapting to (student)life in the Netherlands. Located at the Bastille building.
• TCP Language Centre: The TCP Language Centre offers (Dutch) language courses for UT and ITC students. Located in the Vrijhof building.

• COOP Compact: On-campus supermarket, located at De Hems 16-90.
• Mensa and Eetcafé De Stek: Student restaurants, the Mensa is located at the groundfloor of the Waaier building, De Stek is located at first floor of the Bastille building.
• Vestingbar: The campusbar, runned by students, which only closes 1 night a year. The ESN Weekly Drink takes place here. You can enter the Vestingbar from the outside of the Bastille.

• UnionShop: Sells readers, University of Twente gifts and clothing, office supplies and is the Xerox Servicedesk in the Bastille building.
• Xerox Servicedesks: Xerox printshops are located in campus buildings Carré and Bastille.
• Boekhandel Broekhuis: Bookshop located at the entrance of the building Bastille. Does not only sell study related books!

• ASA Student employment agency: An employment agency located at De Hems 16-91.
• De Verhuishand Studentshop (Dutch website): Shop selling second-hand furniture and other household products. Located at Calslaan 60, number 162 and 163.
• De Barreboks hairdresser (Dutch website): On-campus hairdresser, located at  De Hems 16-92, opened from Monday - Friday, 10.00-18.00. If it's not busy, you can come without appointment.

• Sportcentre, outdoor sports fields and swimming pool, watersports complex: The University of Twente has many sport clubs that have facilities on campus or nearby the campus (for more information click here).
• Vrijhof Cultural centrum: Enjoy cultural performances on campus! You can also join several cultural clubs (for more information click here)

• Mediation room: Perfect for those who simply want some quiet time, to recharge their batteries as well as for people who wish to fulfil their religious obligations and pray. located on the second floor of the Vrijhof (room 226) and is accessible during Vrijhof opening hours.
• Ecumenical church service (in Dutch): Services are held every Sunday morning, starting at 10:30 in the Audiozaal in the Vrijhof building. Every third Sunday there is a choir.
• UT-Mosque: located on the second floor in the Vrijhof building. Anyone is welcome to come and visit the mosque during opening hours of the Vrijhof.

• Drienerburght and Logica: Conference hotels located on campus.
