L.A. Voz presents: Gitano y Ladino

Did you know that Enschede has the most beautiful synagogue of the Netherlands?

At Sunday, 22nd May a Spanish concert will be organized by the secular Stichting Synagoge Enschede. The concert will take place in the synagogue, Prinsestraat 14 and will be preceded by a guided tour through the synagogue . Duo La Rosa will play their program ?Gitano y Ladino?. This is a warm-blooded concert with passionate singing (Astrid Duran) and flamenco-guitar (Manito). There are 20 discount tickets available for LA Voz members. They pay only ? 2,50 for the tour and the concert. Normal tickets cost ? 12,50.

In this show, Duo La Rosa will perform mainly own compositions. Besides that, La Rosa is also playing old ?canciones? from Andalusia, traditionals of Roma-gypsies and Sephardic (Spanish Jewish) songs.

At 12.00 a guided tour through the synagogue will take place in both English and Spanish. Normally, tours are only in Dutch, so take your chance! After the tour the concert will start at 1.30 PM.

Although the activity has nothing to do with religion, there are some house rules in the building. As the synagogue still serves as a prayer house on Saturday, men are asked to cover their head. Kippahs are available, but you can also use a hat, a cap or anything. Both men and women are asked to dress appropriate and cover their shoulders, belly and knees. Camera?s are allowed during the tour. If you like to take pictures during the concert as well, please ask permission to the people of the synagogue who can check with the artists.

Tickets will be sold from 11.30 in the synagogue, Prinsestraat 14 in Enschede. Please note you can only pay cash.

Tickets for L.A Voz members are EUR 2.50 for boht Concert + tour. They are limited (20 tickets) and they can only be bought the same day 22 of May from 11:30 am to 12noon.
